Product Description

Tactical professionals know that excessive equipment only gets in the way in an emergency. With that in mind, the Trauma Pak with QuikClot® is designed to stop bleeding and control serious trauma at the scene so more advanced care can be sought later. Packed in a tough, waterproof pouch sized to fit in any pocket, the Trauma Pak with QuikClot® is easy to deploy: just rip the top off, pull out the QuikClot® dressing to apply to any life-threatening bleeding, and use the other bandages and dressings as needed. An instruction pamphlet with information on treating traumatic injuries provides is included as well.

- (Washington County) Tigard Seeks Volunteer “Patients” for Mock Emergency - 5 County Regional Exercise on May 22 and 23

  Description: The City of Tigard staff and Volunteers will participate in a 5 County Regional Exercise on May 22 and 23 - Tigard Seeks Volunteer “Patients” for Mock Emergency
  
  Tigard, along with other Washington County jurisdictions, will be staging a mock bioterrorism emergency exercise on Thursday, May 23. During this emergency drill, the city will establish a point of dispensing (POD) station. PODs are large clinics, set up to rapidly distribute medication to a large number of people.
  The city is looking for volunteers to act as patients.
  When: Thursday, May 23, 6– 8:30 p.m.
  Where: Tigard Public Works Building, 8777 SW Burnham St.
  Each volunteer will be treated as a walk-in patient. Participation will take about 15 minutes, and no appointment or pre-registration is necessary. Emergency workers will treat volunteer patients with placebo medication.
  The exercise will measure the city’s ability to:
  § Test its Point of Dispensing (POD) Plan.
  § Communicate and coordinate with fellow emergency responders.
  § Implement Tigard’s Emergency Response Plan.
  § Put newly acquired equipment into practice.
  § Evaluate the current plans, procedures and reporting protocols.
  City services will not be affected by the exercise.
